FIELD: watches and other time measuring instruments.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of watchmaking, to clock mechanisms with pointer indication of time, and more specifically to complicated mechanisms of clock mechanisms with additional indication functions on the clock of current time on Mars. Essence: analogue clock for indication of Martian time comprises body, clock mechanism and dial, at that clock mechanism additionally contains reduction gear consisting of two coaxial gear wheels fixed to each other either rigidly or frictionally, wherein the reduction gearbox provides the conversion of the speed of the switch gear rotation to the rotation speed of the mechanism which displays the average Martian solar time. At that, in the method of indicating Martian time, the delay of the solar Martian days from solar earth days is compensated by using a reduction gear consisting of two gear wheels in an analogue clock.
EFFECT: high accuracy of indicating Martian time, as well as simple design of the clock and reduced dimensions thereof with simultaneous increase in the reliability of the clock by eliminating complex multielement mechanisms.
