SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of detecting conversation between users. Audio data stream is received from one or more sensors. Conversation between a first user and a second user is detected based on the audio data stream. Human speech fragments are detected alternately between the first and second users, including the user wearing a head-mounted display device, and the other person, based on the audio data stream. Images of the scene, which includes said other person, are received from an optical sensor of the head-mounted display device. Another person is confirmed to be speaking with a user, based on said image. Representation of the digital content item is changed in response to the conversation detected. Digital content item includes one or more visual content items.
EFFECT: high accuracy of automatic detection of conversation between users.
