FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.

SUBSTANCE: method relates to treatment of waste water from oil and oil products and can be used in oil producing enterprises, petroleum storage depots, fuel stations, for fine treatment of formation and field waters, as well as at oil refineries for sewage treatment. Method of water surface cleaning from oil and oil products involves application of sorbing element on surface with subsequent utilization of oil products. Sorbent element in the form of tape from carbon fibre is wound on one of coils fixed with possibility of rotation. Other end of the tape is attached to the second coil. Distance between coils is controlled by means of longitudinal parallel beams. Tape, when in contact with film of oil or oil products, by means of electric motor attached to one of coils, is swirled with certain speed to second coil, during movement sorbing oil film. After sorption, the tape is rewound in the reverse direction from one coil to another, simultaneously passing through the furnace for combustion of sorbed oil and oil products, with production of additional heat energy from combustion, which enables to recycle sorbed oil and oil products. Carbon fibre of tape recovers its sorption properties with possibility of its repeated use.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to increase the level of technological effectiveness of the method of cleaning the surface of water from oil and oil products, by increasing the rate of the process of collecting oil and oil products, with their further utilization and simultaneous recovery of the sorption properties of the carbon fibre with the possibility of using it repeatedly.
