FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of determining composition of mixed coolant. When creating the model, a simulation model is created based on operating parameters obtained from the natural gas liquefaction device, with determination of natural gas supply conditions for obtaining liquefied natural gas cooled to the specified temperature from the natural gas liquefaction device. When calculating the UA value obtained by multiplying the total heat transfer coefficient of the cryogenic heat exchanger by the heat transfer area, the UA value of the cryogenic heat exchanger is calculated by performing a simulation model. At preliminary calculation, total consumed power is calculated by performing simulation model for multiple cases of mixed refrigerant with different composition of coolant components in new conditions of natural gas supply. In determining the composition of the mixed coolant in the case of mixed refrigerant, in which the total consumed power per liquefied natural gas unit becomes the least, the mixed refrigerant composition is set in the new feed conditions.
