FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling the composition of the coolant in the cycle of the preliminary mixed coolant when producing liquefied natural gas (LNG). Method of regulating the composition of the coolant is characterized by the fact that control is carried out taking into account temperatures obtained from weather forecast. Concentration of each component of preliminary mixed coolant is measured. Ambient temperature is measured. Optimum concentration of each component for the measured and each of the temperatures obtained from the weather forecast is calculated. For each of the temperatures obtained from the weather forecast, calculating the time interval required to change the concentration of each component to the corresponding side at the transition to the next of the temperatures obtained from the weather forecast, both upward and downward. Measured concentration of each component is compared with the optimum one and the concentration of each component is changed with allowance for the calculated time intervals and the direction of concentration of the components during these time intervals.

EFFECT: invention allows minimized temperature of cooled product during LNG production.
