FIELD: cooling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to emergency core cooling system in case of accident with loss of heat carrier, specifically to sumps protection devices in the emergency cooling system of the water-cooled nuclear reactor, the filtering module in the sumps protection device and filtering element of sumps protection device mats. Sumps protection device in an emergency cooling system of a water-cooled nuclear reactor comprises a system of filters installed on a receiving opening of an upper part sump arranged in reactor containment bottom and connected to pipeline emergency cooling system intake hole, system of filters is filtering modules connected to collectors, which prevent ingress of debris into intake hole of pipelines of emergency cooling system. At that, each filtering module has side and upper slotted grates and located inside filtering elements made in the form of filtering pipes, which side surface has slots, and arranged inside pipes of perforated distributing tubes, inner cavities of which are connected to collectors.
EFFECT: technical result is protection sumps from accumulation of debris in case of accident with heat carrier leakage.
