FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to layer-by-layer construction of workpieces and can be used in making molds or rods. Method of layer-by-layer construction of workpiece includes mixing of at least one refractory molding material and at least one ester to produce impregnated with ester mixture based on molding material, depositing a thin layer of a mixture impregnated with an ester based on a molding material on a working surface with thickness of 1 to 6 diameters of particles of the refractory molding material, application of printing on selected sections of thin layer with binder, containing at least resols, for hardening of selected sections and multiple repetition of steps of application of thin layer of molding mixture and printing layer with binder to produce at least partially cured three-dimensional workpiece.

EFFECT: obtained workpieces in the form of a mold or rod are characterized by high thermal stability during casting and low tendency to gas formation.
