SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an optical monitoring system for monitoring operating conditions in a tuyere region of a blast furnace. Optical control system for control of internal conditions in a tuyere region of a blast furnace comprises an optical deflection device configured to be connected to the rear part of the blow tube such that the tuyere, the blow pipe and the optical deflecting device are arranged along a common axis, observation window arranged in the first surface of the optical deflecting device with the possibility of the operator controlling the inner conditions in the tuyere region with the naked eye, optical sensor arranged in second surface of optical deflecting device for electronic control of internal conditions in tuyere region, an optical deflector arranged in an optical deflecting device for directing the incident light flux from the tuyere region to the inspection window and to the optical sensor. Optical deflecting device comprises a body with a spherical body which is rotatable therein.

EFFECT: enabling observation of internal conditions in a tuyere region of a blast furnace by a compact and easy controlled optical control system.
