FIELD: metallurgy; blast furnace tuyeres. SUBSTANCE: uniformity in distribution of water velocities along the internal section of the tuyere is increased to exclude formation of dead zones, and combustion zone of natural gas is brought out of the tuyere to the working space of the furnace to reduce the effect of heat flux on the tuyere end face part to increase efficiency of tuyere cooling and its stability due to provision of holes for water discharge from header in form of slot with variable cross-section whose width is increased according to the square law depending on the distance to inlet hole, or in form of round holes with same diameter arranged according to the square law from inlet hole, or location of round holes for water discharge with constant spacing with their diameter varying to the square law from distance to inlet hole.
