FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to extra cool-resistant structural steels used for production of equipment intended for storage and transportation of liquefied natural gas. Steel contains, wt%: carbon 0.03–0.10, silicon 0.10–0.45, manganese 0.20–0.80, aluminum 0.02–0.06, chromium not more than 0.20, nickel 6.5–11.0, copper not more than 0.20, niobium not more than 0.020, titanium not more than 0.020, vanadium to 0.020, molybdenum to 0.30, sulfur not more than 0.005, phosphorus not more than 0.010, nitrogen not more than 0.010, boron is not more than 0.008, tin is not more than 0.015, antimony is not more than 0.015, arsenic is up to 0.005, iron and unavoidable impurities – the rest.
EFFECT: obtaining high-strength structural cryogenic steel, having an improved set of mechanical properties, characterized by high impact viscosity while maintaining high strength characteristics, meeting requirements EN 10028-4.
