FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the nondestructive inspection of the state of walls of pipelines. Method of magnetic monitoring of pipeline defects comprises the following stages: pipeline magnetization along its length by means of radiating coil installed on pipeline end and connected to broadband voltage generator; measurement of magnetic field created by broadband voltage generator using magnetic field sensor during its movement along pipeline; circular magnetization of pipeline by passing pulse current through it using generator of saw-tooth voltage connected between ends of pipeline; measuring the magnetic field generated by the saw-tooth voltage generator using the magnetic field sensor during movement thereof along the pipeline; determining from the magnetic field measurement data the generated at the steps of the broadband voltage generator and the saw-tooth voltage generator, the residual wall thickness of the pipeline and the pipeline sections with stress-deformed state.
EFFECT: improving accuracy of determination of pipeline defects.
