FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for studying materials by determining their chemical properties in a liquid state, for example, using inductively coupled plasma spectrometry. Method includes autoclave decomposition of samples in 2 stages in a mixture of concentrated acids in a microwave oven at elevated pressure and a temperature of 180–210 °C, cooling the sample and bringing to standard volume. In the first stage, a mixture of hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and nitric acids is used in a ratio of 1:5:2 at a pressure of 18–21 atm for 45–50 minutes. Cooling of the samples is carried out with the closed autoclave to a temperature of 30–40 °C. In the second stage of decomposition, a mixture of concentrated hydrochloric, nitric, and diluted boric acids is used in a ratio of 1:1:8 for 25 minutes at a pressure of 13–14 atm. Pre-drying of samples is performed at a temperature of 20–40 °C, and samples are formed in the range of 10–50 mg.

EFFECT: technical result is improving the accuracy and objectivity of the method of preparing silicate and carbonate samples of rocks for spectrometric analysis, as well as increasing the range of elements to be determined and the list of sample preparation for further analysis by increasing the purity of the final sample and reducing matrix effects.
