FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the analysis of the chemical composition of minerals, in particular to the selection of the method of sample preparation of carbon rocks to identify precious metals by the analytic methods, in particular, by the atomic-absorption and mass-spectrometry ones with ionization in the inductively coupled plasma. The chemical sample preparation method for carbonaceous rocks for quantitative determination of gold, platinum, palladium, rhodium, and iridium is a sample preparation of carbonaceous rocks by decomposition of a mixture of acids in an autoclave under the action of microwave radiation followed by concentration of noble metals by coprecipitation on tellurium and transfer of the concentrate into the solution. The preparation is carried out in two stages, at the first stage the sample is dissolved, and at the second stage, the noble metals are concentrated.
EFFECT: increasing the purity of the final sample.
