FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical devices which generate optical effects of flicker. Device includes at least one image pictogram structure formed from one or more hardened pigmented materials. Each image pictogram in at least one image pictogram structure is in form of one or more of: assembly, cavity or indentation in the surface of the optical device, including one or more directed solidified pigmented materials and at least one structure of focusing elements arranged so that to form one or more synthetic images of at least part of at least one image pictogram structure. All or a certain amount of one or more hardened pigmented materials is hardened by collimated light directed through focusing elements at one or more angle(s) relative to the surface of the optical device to form directly hardened images pictograms. One or more synthetic image(s) of directly hardened images pictograms are visible under one or more curing angle(s) by collimated light and, thus, visually appears and disappears, or is switched on and off, during movement of a viewing angle of the device through these angles.
EFFECT: invention provides increased range of viewing angles.
