FIELD: experimental equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental equipment and can be used for experimental determination of dynamic characteristics of underwater vehicle models. Device comprises chamber filled with working medium, trigger device with gate elements rigidly positioned between each other, underwater vehicle motion direction unit, underwater vehicle braking device, laser sensors fixing the position of the moving underwater vehicle, hermetically fixed in the chamber with location parallel to the underwater vehicle motion vector and connected to the measuring and recording and control equipment. Laser sensors are fixed at preset distances from each other so that laser beams are perpendicular to displacement vector of underwater vehicle, and opposite to laser sensors in chamber there installed is element of their positioning relative to underwater vehicle displacement vector. Depending on the test conditions, the type of the chamber (open or closed) is selected and the points of fixation of the laser sensors in the chamber are determined.
EFFECT: technical result consists in the possibility of improving the accuracy of measurements of hydrodynamic characteristics of movements of the underwater vehicle, broader technological capabilities of the installation, high reliability of the design, low labor input in testing.
