Device for expressing milk for a breast pump intended for drawing breast milk from a mamilla of maternal mammary gland, contains a housing of a breast pump containing the first and the second pressure chambers. First pressure chamber can be connected to pressure unit to generate pressure in first pressure chamber. Second pressure chamber contains a funnel for mammary gland, milk drainage and a milk channel from the funnel for the mammary gland to milk drainage. First and second pressure chambers are separated by air-permeable membrane, which is permeable for gas and impermeable for liquid, for separation of first pressure chamber from liquid in milk channel. Air-permeable membrane is a hydrophobic membrane. Device also has a wear indicator for indication of wear of the expressing device, in particular of the air-permeable membrane. Disclosed is a breast pump comprising a device for expressing milk.

EFFECT: provision of compactness and hygienic protection at maintaining vacuum pressure on mammary gland.
