FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for producing unidirectional carbon fiber threads. Method includes laser cutting of carbon fiber and vacuum treatment of carbon fiber cutting point. Unidirectional carbon fiber is continuously or intermittently moved, during which carbon fiber is fused, laser-cut along the carbon fiber axis. Additional processing of cut carbon fiber includes finishing, drying and fusion and then winding of ready carbon fibers.

EFFECT: technical result of invention consists in possibility of unidirectional carbon fiber separation along axis with a large number of filaments on unidirectional carbon fibers with less filaments with preservation of microstructure of obtained unidirectional carbon fibers and elimination of thermal impact of carbon fiber, which is not in the cutting zone, while simultaneously providing the required number of filaments in the obtained unidirectional carbon fibers.
