FIELD: radiochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical radiochemistry and is intended for monitoring radionuclides in gaseous radioactive emissions of ship nuclear power plants and nuclear power plants. Emission sample is taken from the ventilation system into a vacuum control line and cleaned at the first aerosol filter. Then the sample is passed through a filter-adsorber with a mineral selective sorbent impregnated with silver, and sent to an ionization chamber of a beta-radiometer to determine total activity of the remaining volatile radionuclides. Sample cleaned from aerosols and iodine is directed to heated to 300 °C is a catalyst for oxidation of radiolytic hydrogen and isotopes contained therein. Obtained gas is cooled in a heat exchanger, separating the condensate, and passed through a bubbler filled with an alkali solution with pH value of not less than 8.5. It is additionally cleaned at the second aerosol filter to perform beta-radiometric measurements of total activity of inert radioactive gases with simultaneous determination of total activity of radionuclides of tritium and carbon-14.
