SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to topical compositions. Composition for local application contains vanilyl butyl ether and menthol in weight ratio from 1:2 to 1:25, dispersed in hydrogel. Hydrogel contains 20 to 55 % water, and the dry phase of said hydrogel is contained in a weight ratio of 35:1 to 2:1 with respect to the total content of vanilyl butyl ether and menthol. Also disclosed is a device for topical application.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides creating heat and cold sensations in turns, in a predetermined order, so that each of these sensations is manifested in the best way and exactly when it is necessary.
