SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the foundry. Mixture for making molds and rods contains liquid glass, quartz sand and refractory clay. Mixture also contains a complex additive-modifier. Mixture ingredients ratio is, wt%: quartz sand – 94.9, refractory clay – 1, liquid glass – 3.5, sodium lauryl sulphate – 0.1, sodium polyphosphate – 0.4, glycerine – 0.1.
EFFECT: creation of a mixture for making casting molds and rods, having low residual strength, which ensures reduction of the knockout work while maintaining high strength.
