FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering, in particular, to hydrosystems with ground dams and spillways. Purpose of the invention is to increase the throughput capacity of the filter spillway and to reduce the volume of the ground dam with the core by increasing the area of the water intake of the filter spillway using reinforced concrete corner retaining walls on the crest of the core and on the base of the ground dam at the lower slope. Ground dam comprises a body made from water-permeable material and an impervious core. On the crest of the core there is a reinforced concrete angular retaining wall with slots in the vertical and foundation slabs. In the base of the dam at the lower slope there is a reinforced concrete angular retaining wall with slots in the vertical plate.
EFFECT: application of the proposed design of a ground dam with a core and with a filter spillway makes it possible to reduce the cost of the hydraulic power plant due to reduction of the volume of the soil dam, as well as due to abandonment of the shore spillway or its reduction.
