FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering, in particular, to hydrosystems with ground dams and spillways. Essence of invention is creation of filtration spillway on ground dam with screen. Application of proposed design of ground dam with filter spillway in the form of reinforced concrete box allows reducing cost of hydraulic power plant due to reduced volume of soil dam, as well as due to abandonment of coastal or bottom spillway or its reduction. Ground dam includes a body made of water-permeable material and an anti-filtration screen. Behind the screen, at the top of the screen, which coincides with the design level of water in the water reservoir, there is a hollow reinforced concrete box or a cribbed reinforced concrete structure without a bottom, the vertical wall of which faces the upper pool, is not solid but has slits. From above box is covered with reinforced concrete plate, which serves as crest of dam, and in base of dam at lower face there is a box filled with water permeable material or cribbed reinforced concrete structure without bottom, vertical walls of which, on the side of upper and on the side of lower pool, have slots.
EFFECT: safe passage of flood flow rate by passing water through filter spillway and reduced volume of ground dam.
