FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of coal-graphite composite material. Method includes vacuum degassing of porous coal-graphite billet, its impregnation with melt of matrix aluminium alloy under action of excessive pressure due to thermal expansion of melt at heating above temperature of liquidus of aluminium alloy. Degassing is performed before immersion of porous workpiece into melt of matrix alloy, and before impregnation porous billet is covered with double-layer galvanic coating consisting of internal copper and external cadmium layers.

EFFECT: higher quality of composite material.
