FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, in particular to the creation of composite materials by impregnating a porous frame. The method for obtaining a carbon-graphite composite material includes vacuum degassing of a porous carbon-graphite workpiece in a copper electrolyte solution. An electroplated coating containing an inner copper layer and an outer nickel-containing layer is applied to the workpiece. The workpiece is impregnated with a melt of an aluminum matrix alloy under the influence of excessive pressure due to thermal expansion of the melt while heated above the liquidus temperature of the aluminum alloy. In this case, the outer nickel-containing layer of a two-layer galvanic coating is made of a nickel-boron layer consisting of 98.5 wt% nickel and 1.5 wt% boron deposited by electrolysis from an electrolyte containing 15 g/l of nickel chloride, 100 g/l nickel sulfamate, 25 g/l boric acid and 4 g/l alkyl borane derivative.
