SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil refining, in particular, to a method of producing road bitumen BND 70/100 according to GOST 33133-2014. Method for preparing road bitumen involves oxidising a composition from weighted tar obtained from a mixture of Urals oils with VU₈₀ viscosity more than 150–220 s and darkened vacuum line in concentration of last 20 wt. %, at temperature of 220–240 °C to softening point of 55 to 59 °C, and subsequent compounding with residual oil non-oxidised products, in form of darkened vacuum shoulder in concentration of 17–25 wt. %.

EFFECT: bitumen BND 70/100, obtained by the method according to the invention, meets GOST 33133-2014 standard in terms of its physical and mechanical properties and has improved stretchability and penetration at 0 °C.
