Method includes collecting data on pressure in annular space from wellbore, wherein data on pressure in annular space is collected in time interval, wherein at least part of pressure data in annular space is collected during period when pumps are stopped, establishing at least first and second values based on annular space pressure data, comparing deviation between first and second values with first threshold value and operating drilling equipment based on comparison with first threshold value, wherein the first threshold value follows the trend as a function of time, length of the wellbore or drilling depth.
EFFECT: improved analysis of equivalent static density.
