FIELD: electrical equipment; communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical communication engineering and can be used in two-way wireless optical communication systems. Wireless optical communication equipment is equipped with a transmitter output power control loop which provides an optimum level of the receiving signal at the receivers. Control is carried out in two directions: according to signal level at receiver of subscriber terminal and command is issued to change power of transmitter of local terminal; and according to the local terminal receiving signal statistics, a command is sent to the subscriber terminal to change the target value of the receiving terminal signal strength of the local terminal. Control criterion is the ratio of the frequency of the measured levels of the receiving signal in given ranges relative to the middle of the dynamic range of the receiver. Control circuit of transmitter output power allows to obtain optimum value of receiving signal, compensating both conditions of passage of signal through atmosphere, and technological spread of equipment parameters during its manufacturing.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of two-way wireless optical communication channel quality.
