FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons and military equipment and can be used in fuses for ammunition for hitting aerial targets. Method of hitting an aerial target with ammunition with a contactless target sensor consists in the fact that the ammunition is fired into the zone of its meeting with the target. Non-contact target sensor emits and receives radio signals, analyses parameters of radiation and reception of signals during the flight of the ammunition and based on this analysis, steps of protecting the detonating fuse as the ammunition approaches the target. Infrared radiation ahead of the ammunition in the wavelength range higher than two micrometers is detected using the non-contact target sensor. At the moment of radiation level increase above the value at the initial moment of flight the next stage of ammunition protection is removed. Moment when the radiation level reaches the maximum value is recorded. Command is sent to the computing device of the non-contact target sensor to find the ammunition at the minimum distance from the target. Optimum moment for ammunition blasting is selected by specified algorithm.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reliably identify a target flying with supersonic speed and to increase noise immunity of a non-contact target sensor from the effect of various radio interference.
