SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hair clipping devices. Device for hair cutting includes body with cutting unit, set of knives and adjustable separating comb with adjusting drive. Adjustment drive comprises actuator to drive adjustable section of adjustable separating comb crest relative to set of knives, manually controlled rotary element to control adjusting drive and position sensor. Position sensor is configured to detect angular motion of the rotary element controlled manually and to output the corresponding user initial signal. Actuator is controllable based on user initial signal. Invention also includes hair cutting method.
EFFECT: improving the quality of haircuts.
