FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for making sweep hunting bullets with high stopping action, which enable to conduct more accurate aiming and safe firing at targets. Sweep hunting bullet and method for its production contain: 1) method of producing a swept bullet, which includes preliminary placement of a core inside a tubular billet, deformation of a back part of the workpiece with formation of aerodynamic fins and a front part with core fixation and shaping of a bullet head part, wherein on tubular billet with wall thickness of 0.5 mm≤tW≤0.8 mm and outer diameter preliminary compressing head part of housing, providing coaxiality of head and cylindrical parts by direction of puncheon on matrix, and defect-free extraction of semi-finished product by thrust of pusher into rear massive end, and after accommodating radially movable hammers inside the core, empennage is molded with provided tool with qualitative flat rear end, perpendicular to bullet axis, which blades are turned relative to the longitudinal axis of the swept bullet and have a thickness which is substantially less than the doubled thickness of the wall of the initial tubular billet, and the sweep of blades exceeds the outer diameter of said workpiece, wherein at the final stage of plastic shaping of the blades, the flue is cut off along their outer contour by special wedge projections on the tool; 2) a sweep bullet of increased stopping action, comprising a housing obtained from a tubular billet, on the rear part of which there is an aerodynamic empennage, and inside the front part a core is located, at that, qualitatively fabricated flat rear end of empennage of steel housing provides possibility of using during designing of cartridges of sub-caliber pushing method of conducting swept bullet along barrel channel by thrusting into rear end with provision of minimum initial disturbances at bullet output behind muzzle face, and blades of empennage with thickness of increased and equal span , turned on 2–4° relative to the longitudinal axis of the swept bullet, it is possible to improve external ballistic and combat characteristics of the bullet, the core is made, for example, lead, and the bullet is made as per item 1.

EFFECT: task of present invention is development of design of swept hunting bullet with improved outwardly ballistic and combat characteristics and method, which widens technological capabilities of its production.
