FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to production of small arms cartridges and may be used to manufacture armour-piercing cores. Measuring cylindrical billet is cut with allowance. Forming is carried out with metal allowance discharge into annular flash. Flashes are cut. Billet is withdrawn. Moulding is carried out in matrix with working cavity. Annular flash is produced in side slot. Cutting of flash is carried out in process of billet withdrawal against matrix edge. Device comprises matrix, puncheon, pusher. Matrix is arranged with working cavity, which has calibration and inlet sections. Between them there is side slot arranged in the form of wedge with radius internal surface at the end. Edge is created by crossing of side slot and working cavity of matrix. Puncheon is arranged with spherical indent and peripheral annular plane.
EFFECT: invention provides for improved efficiency of technological process.
