SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a vehicle headlight module which includes a lens having a plurality of near-field lens elements, an inclined inlet surface, an exit surface and a cavity between the surfaces. Lamp module also includes LED lighting module, which directs incident light through input and output surfaces. Lens elements are configured to distribute from the output surface a collimated illumination pattern having at least 60 % incident light. In some embodiments, the exit surface includes a stepped configuration of the optical elements. In other versions, a headlight assembly is proposed, which includes a plurality of vehicle headlight modules. Each module of the headlight includes: a lens with an inclined input surface and an output surface, a mandrel surrounding the lens, and a LED light source which directs light through the input surface.
EFFECT: lens of each module includes multiple near-field lens elements.
