SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of creating a new medical product in the form of rectal suppositories of a wide spectrum of action based on interferon for treating infectious-inflammatory diseases. Suppository is prepared in two stages, first one – 0.01–1 mg/g of sulphite or sodium metabisulphite, 5–30 mg/g of ascorbic acid, 10–30 mg/g of sodium ascorbate, 0.05–0.2 mg/g Trilon B, 0.05–0.2 mg/g Polysorbate 80 and purified water from oxygen; 50,000-5,000,000 IU/g of interferon are introduced into the produced mixture and sterilized by filtration, at the second stage – 30–100 mg/g α-tocopherol, 700–800 mg/g of Witepsol H15 and Witepsol W35 are melted at 35–45 °C and intensely stirred, raising temperature to 70–120 °C, then mixture is cooled to 32–35 °C and combined with intense stirring with a mixture of the first stage, preheated to 32–35 °C, after that suppositories are molded.

EFFECT: medical product in the form of rectal suppositories and a method for preparing it are proposed.
