Method includes steps of: receiving, by SGW-U, a data packet and associating context information of the corresponding channel with an endpoint identifier of the tunnel carried in the data packet; sending a trigger message to a serving control plane (SGW-C) gateway, if the SGW-U determines by comparison that the SGW-U does not include channel context information, wherein a trigger message is used by the SGW-C to obtain contextual channel information; receiving a channel context recovery message sent by the gateway SGW-C, wherein the channel context recovery message comprises channel context information; and sending a data packet in accordance with channel context information.
