SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication and relay architectures in a wireless network. The method for communication using disparate transport protocols comprises steps of receiving an Internet protocol (IP) address from a serving gateway through a donor eNB, receiving packets from the serving gateway through the donor eNB based on said IP address and transmitting information from the packets to UE or disparate relay eNB, wherein the steps are carried out by the relay eNB.
EFFECT: wider coverage and/or high throughput by facilitating relay between devices in a wireless communication network.
