FIELD: sports.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sports equipment and can be used both for training of skiers and biathletes, and for imitation of participation of sportsman in competitions of any level, up to Olympic games, including in biathlon karaoke, but without using real snow routes and range. Disclosed is a method of simulating the participation of a sportsman in a competition or corresponding training, involving virtual competition or virtual training for biathletes or skiers, or participation in biathlon karaoke, in which famous sportsmen-biathletes can take part, being outside of real ski tracks and shooting ranges on individual sports complexes consisting of skier (biathlete) simulator and range training simulator. Each sportsman follows the video image on the video screen of his individual virtual helmet at the situation on the ski track, on the range and behind the rivals. Simulation of physical participation of a sportsman in a sporting situation, corresponding, for example, biathlon karaoke, and taking into account the particular sport situation, specific winter stadium and specific ski route, specific weather conditions, and so forth, is carried out on individual for each athlete exercise machines by providing their physical movement, ski race, for example, on a treadmill, on which a ski track is formed, and on its canvas a snowball simulator is applied. Simulation of other physical interactions with objects and subjects of a virtual competitive or training process is carried out by means of special devices, units and equipment, for which characteristics of actual physical action simulated on simulator are matched with characteristics of virtual process. Virtual helmet of a sportsman is commutatorically connected to a server (processor) of a training complex, having corresponding software and which controls operation of the equipment imitating physical effects on the sportsman, imitation of various types of competitions. Each individual training complex is equipped with devices for simulating real physical effects on skis depending on weather conditions, physical simulation of these conditions, climatic (weather) features of a specific competition, including imitation of geometrical and geographical profiles of the ski track. Latter is realized by imparting three angular degrees of freedom to the support carcass of the tread, which allows simulating the ski lifts and descents on the ski track and its turns. Training complex has a system of sensors which enable to determine the position of the sportsman and his/her physical state depending on the action of the sportsman on the simulator.
EFFECT: method allows to simulate virtual competition with several virtual sportsmen located on their individual training complexes, wherein processors of each training complex are commutatively connected to central processor (server), which simulates virtual competition.
