FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a system for supporting a driver when determining driving dynamics conditions. Method for determining general-purpose vehicle driving dynamics conditions consists of an image from at least one general-purpose camera, at least one information on movement dynamics is extracted by means of image processing device: angle of deviation between trailer / semitrailer and truck-tractor of road train, relative angle of transverse oscillations of trailer / semitrailer. At that, on truck-tractor of road train, at least one chamber is installed on driver cabin longitudinal side and the direction of one chamber is selected so that trailer / semitrailer at least in one part of possible positions of movement is partially recorded on image from camera. Driver support system for determining general-purpose vehicle movement dynamics comprises an image from at least one general-purpose camera, using the image processing device, information on movement dynamics is extracted: angle of deviation between trailer / semitrailer and truck-tractor of road train.
EFFECT: reliable obtaining of information on vehicle movement dynamics.
