FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus for removing hydrocarbons C6-C11 from methanol. Plant for removal of hydrocarbons C6-C11 from methanol contains at least one reactor for conversion of carbon monoxide and hydrogen into crude methanol containing hydrocarbons, a distillation column with a helmet portion and a methanol purification tank and at least one pipeline for directing crude methanol from at least one reactor to the distillation column. In its helmet part, the distillation column comprises a supply pipeline for water supply, and at least in one pipeline for supply of crude methanol from reactor to distillation column is provided at least one evaporator of flash boiling for separation of gases from crude methanol. Described is a method of removing hydrocarbons C6-C11 from methanol using the apparatus, wherein water is added to the column helmet.
EFFECT: reliable removal ensuring high purity.
