HYDROFORMYLATION METHOD Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC C07C45/50 C07C47/02

Abstract RU 2724349 C2

FIELD: chemical or physical processes.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a hydroformylation method involving the following steps: (a) contacting CO, H2 and at least one C2-C4 olefin in a reaction zone in the presence of a hydroformylation catalyst to form at least one aldehyde product; (b) removing aldehyde-containing liquid from reaction zone and feeding it into product and catalyst separation zone; (c) transfer of first stream from product separation zone and catalyst into reaction zone, wherein the first stream is a liquid containing at least a portion of the hydroformylation catalyst, at least a portion of the aldehyde product and unreacted olefin; (d) removing the second stream from the product separation zone and the catalyst, the second stream comprising at least a portion of the aldehyde product, unreacted olefin and one or more paraffins; (f) transferring the second stream to stripping section of distillation column for removal of syngas, wherein gas containing CO and H2 separates unreacted olefin from aldehyde; (g) gas discharge, coming out of stripping section of distillation column for removal of syngas, into condenser to produce second liquid containing most part of aldehyde, at least a portion of the unreacted olefin from the stripping section of the distillation column for removing syngas and at least a portion of the paraffins from the stripping section of the distillation column for removing syngas, and obtaining a gas stream containing CO, H2, a residue of unreacted olefin from the distillation column stripping section for the removal of syngas and a residue of paraffins from the stripping section of the rectification column for removing syngas; (h) removing the gas stream leaving the condenser at step (g) into the reaction zone; (i) transfer of second liquid from condenser at step (g) to first distillation system, wherein at least part of unreacted olefin and paraffin are distilled from aldehyde; (j) transfer of gas from first distillation system to second distillation system, wherein unreacted olefin and paraffins are separated into olefin enriched stream and paraffin-rich stream, wherein gas is transferred from first distillation system to second distillation system without use of compressor; and (k) transferring the olefin-enriched stream into the reaction zone.

EFFECT: disclosed method enables to maintain high conversion of C2-C4 olefins.
