FIELD: aviation equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aviation, and more specifically to hydromechanical actuators in the aircraft control system, and can be used to control the front wheel in a rudder control mode and to dampen vibrations of a freely oriented front wheel in a damping mode. Mechanism for steering a wheel of the nose landing gear includes a wheel steering actuator, which has a body mounted on the nose landing gear of the aircraft, and a spool head. Wherein the spool head has a body fixed on the aircraft frame. Axis of the spool head coincides with the rotation axis of the landing gear when the gear is moved from the retracted position to the working position and back. Spool, kinematically connected to a pedal drive, and a spool sleeve, associated with a piston, which is kinematically connected to the wheel rotation axis are coaxially located inside the body of the spool head.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is a simplified whole structure of the mechanism for steering a wheel.
