FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coating-curable coating compositions, particularly for producing a coating with mechanical contact resistance on polycarbonate surfaces, comprising at least one urethane acrylate obtained from an isocyanurate trimer of 1,6-hexamethylene diisocyanate and butanediol monoacrylate. Urethane acrylate has weight ratio of isocyanurate trimer to butanediol monoacrylate from 1.0:0.65 to 1.0:0.9. Coating composition also includes at least one tetra-functional acrylate monomer of polyester, at least one diacrylate ester of diol and/or at least one mono-acrylate ester, at least one photoinitiator, one reactive acryloyl triazole UV absorber, a non-reactive UV absorber, a sterically hindered amine and one additive which controls product flow. Invention also relates to a method of producing coatings with resistance to mechanical contact damage on polycarbonate surfaces, use of the coating composition and a coated substrate, respectively.
EFFECT: providing a radiation-curable coating composition suitable for coating polycarbonate surfaces, providing a hardened lacquer coating, showing improved scratch resistance and improved weathering resistance for reduced thickness of the dry film.
