FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a coating composition used for coating metal or plastic substrates, as well as a method for producing a multilayer coating. Said coating composition comprises at least one aliphatic hydroxyl-containing polyester (A) having an OH number of 250 to 660 mg KOH/g, at least one aliphatic polycarbonate diol (B) having an OH number of 35 to 500 mg KOH/g, in an amount of 1 to 20 wt%, based on the total composition, and at least one aliphatic polyisocyanate (C) comprising biuret groups and having an isocyanate group content of 5.8 to 27 wt%. Hydroxyl-containing polyester (A) differs from the polycarbonate diol (B). Proportion of organic solvents in the coating composition is less than 420 g/l. Content of binders in terms of the solids content is 40-100 wt%.

EFFECT: coating compositions obtained enable to minimise repair intervals and expensive maintenance costs, and provide excellent erosion resistance of the coatings obtained.
