SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing butadiene-styrene block-copolymers. Described is a method of producing butadiene-styrene block copolymers by copolymerisation of styrene and butadiene in a hydrocarbon solvent medium in the presence of an organolithium initiator and a modifier, followed by treatment of "live" polymer chains with a coupling agent, wherein at step (i) polymerisation of styrene is carried out in the presence of n-butyl lithium and a modifier which is a mixture of tetrahydrofuran and di-C₁-C₆-alkyl esters of ethylene glycol to obtain a polystyrene block of "living" polystyryl lithium; at step (ii) butadiene is added to the reaction mixture obtained at step (i) and synthesis of the polybutadiene block is carried out in the presence of a modifier selected from di-C₁-C₆-alkyl esters of diethylene glycol, wherein said modifier is introduced after the beginning of polymerisation of butadiene, to produce a "living" block copolymer of polystyrene-polybutadienyl lithium.

EFFECT: technical result is production of butadiene-styrene block-copolymers with high content of 1,2-vinyl links and narrow molecular weight distribution, low content of styrene homopolymer and accelerated polymerisation process.
