FIELD: methods of manufacture of block copolymers possessing properties of thermoelastoplastics. SUBSTANCE: method consists in block copolymerization of styrene or α methylstyrene and dien in medium of organic solvent under action of primary organolothium initiator in presence of modifier - methyl tertiary butyl ether; used as primary organolithium initiator is complex soluble in hydrocarbon solvent which is obtained through interaction of ethyl chloride with dispersion of lithium at molar ratio of 1:2.05 - 2.10 and temperature of 50 to 60 C followed by introduction of monomer into reaction mass. Monomer is selected from group of ethylene, butadiene, isoprene, piperylene, styrene or mixture of butadiene with styrene at molar ratio of monomer of ethyl lithium 0.25-1.00: 1 at dosage of initiator of 4,5•10-5 - 1,2•10-4 of moles of active lithium per kg of vinyl aromatic monomer.
