FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation and instrumentation and can be used in aircraft, ground and sea vehicles to measure linear acceleration vectors and angular velocity. Strap down inertial unit, in which there are six single-type converters of mechanical value (six accelerometers or six angular velocity sensors (AVS)) oriented along dodecahedron, wherein on one of the faces of the pair of faces of the six pairs of dodecahedron faces parallel to each other, one converter of the mechanical value with the direction of the measuring axis (MA) relative to the normal to the dodecahedron face is added, in that six accelerometers and six AVS, wherein MA central AVS coincides with the normal to the dodecahedron face and with the object movement direction axis in the coordinate system associated with the motion object, MA other five AVS are directed along normals to each of five dodecahedron faces adjacent to central dodecahedron face AVS, MA central accelerometer coincides with normal to dodecahedron face and is deviated from object movement direction axis by angle of 25°, MA remaining five accelerometers are directed along normals to each of five dodecahedron faces adjacent to dodecahedron face of central accelerometer, thus, MA of accelerometers oriented on dodecahedron of accelerometers are deviated from MA AVS, oriented along dodecahedron AVS, through angle of 25°.
EFFECT: improving accuracy and reliability of GINS due to redundancy of meters and due to rational choice of configuration of orientation MA.
