FIELD: electrical communication engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used for underwater optical communication systems. For this purpose, proposed is a device which uses InGaN light-emitting diodes (LED) with direct modulation or InGaN-based lasers as transmitters for underwater data transmission device. Receiver uses automatic gain control to facilitate operation of the device in a wide range of distances and turbidity of water.
EFFECT: technical result is improved information transmission quality.
