FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used to determine boundaries of zones of low and low velocities of propagation of seismic waves in a well section. Disclosed is method for determination of upper part of section (UPS) by method of direct micro seismic logging (MSL) in complex with refraction waves method. According to the disclosed method, the excitation source is installed from the wellhead at a distance sufficient for formation of the refracted wave at the given research site. Drilling of the well is performed, at the end of which the borehole pressure probe is lowered into the cavity of the drill string with a seismic receiver, through which time is recorded ti – first arrivals of elastic waves from excitation source and refracted wave. At that, registration is performed by MSL method in complex with refraction waves method with detection of head wave.
EFFECT: increase in the measurements accuracy.
