SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel management systems for internal combustion engines. According to one of the versions, the engine control method comprises adjusting the injection moment for single injection or multiple injections within the combustion cycle towards an advance relative to the top dead centre of the fuel receiving cylinder in response to the fact that the oil dilution degree is greater than the threshold level, and use of basic setting of fuel injection moment or adjustment of fuel injection moment within combustion cycle towards delay relative to upper dead point of cylinder receiving fuel, in response to that degree of dilution of oil is less than threshold level.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce engine liquefaction with fuel and reduce engine toxicity.
