FIELD: pyrotechnics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pyrotechnics, specifically to production of colour fire for fireworks and signal products. Composition of coloured fire includes recycled ballistite powders and fuel or mixture thereof with a combustible-binding additive containing "trapped" colloxylin, metallic fuel, process additives, polyacrylamide or its derivatives, a surfactant, an oxidant, a combustion modifier and flame-retardant components and, optionally, polyvinyl chloride resin. Method of making the composition involves preparing the components, mixing them in a mixer, rolling to obtain a pelletized semi-product, drying and pressing the elements of the required size.
EFFECT: composition of coloured fire is characterized by technological and ballistic characteristics, sensitivity to mechanical effects, chemical and thermal resistance at the level of ballistite powders and fuels, as well as lighting characteristics: intensity of light, brightness and purity of flame colour – at the level of pyrotechnic compounds for fireworks, with coloured and sparkling-high-flaming fire of high entertainment.
