FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutical chemistry. Disclosed is a novel method of producing a novel derivative of 2,6-dimethylphenylacetamide – 2-(diethylamino)-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl) acetamide 2-acetaminoethanesulphonate. According to the method according to the invention, to 20 g of purified 2-diethylamino-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl) acetamide are added 200 ml of purified water and add 14.33 g of N-acetyl-2-aminoethanesulphonic acid, the mixture is stirred in a water bath at 55–60 °C for 30–40 minutes, obtained solution is filtered, water is distilled. Residue is dried to constant weight and sieved.

EFFECT: obtaining 2-(diethylamino)-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl) acetamide 2-acetaminoethanesulphoate of general formula (1), having cerebroprotective activity.
